Sustainably produced food from the New Forest National Park
Welcome!
We provide sustainably and ethically produced meat from the New Forest National Park with much of it coming from our own smallholding.
At the heart of our project is the traditional practice of commoning, where we have a variety of native breeds that spend much of their lives foraging and grazing in the New Forest. Commoning is an ancient form of subsistence farming where local people graze their livestock ‘in common’ with one another.
Our animals are first and foremost conservationists, helping to preserve the wealth of unique habitats and the open environment we see in the Forest today. The extensive nature of their grazing gives the animals a great quality of life which in turn produces a slow grown, full flavoured, high quality meat.
